Pointing
Over time, weathering and decay causes voids in the joints between masonry allowing the undesirable ingress of water. Water entering through these voids can cause significant damage through freeze/thaw cycles, from salt dissolution and from erosion and weathering. At Stone Central (NW) Ltd, we offer all the following repointing methods, with special care taken in every case to match the new mortar with the original in terms of texture, strength and colour.
