Our staff have a wealth of experience and knowledge in all aspects of stonemasonry and we are able to provide a comprehensive advice and support service tailored to suit individual project requirements and the needs of the professionals involved.

Stonework Detailing

We are highly experienced in all aspects of stone detailing, from producing the surveys and reports to providing a detailed plan and schedule of the work to be carried out. We have carried out detailing and restoration work across a wide range of sectors including working alongside heritage and conservation experts. Stone Central have surveyed and planned for the restoration of the stonework on such projects as historic Rose Windows, bridges and viaducts as well as buildings and large domestic properties. Surveys & Reports

We provide a full range of services to assist in compiling the necessary information for the preparation of reports, maintenance plans or tender documentation. Whilst each survey is tailored to suit individual requirements our Surveyors will typically provide: Full inspection of the structure; Photographic records; Detailed schedule of defects; Detailed schedule of proposed corrective actions; Specification for repairs; Annotated copies of architectural drawings referencing repairs; Quotation for undertaking the repair work.

Our Surveyors have a wealth of experience in the repair and conservation of all types of masonry and undertake ground level and mobile platform assisted surveys, we also have IRATA trained members of our surveying team who can provide inspection via rope access where other methods are not viable or would be too costly.
