Warrington Borough Council conducted a £142 million redevelopment of Warrington Town Centre. The scheme has created a mixed use leisure and retail facility to provide shopping, restaurants and leisure experiences as well as a new home for the famous Warrington Market.
Assisting with the development details and designs, the client provided us with an initial concept, we then drafted a complete set of of construction issue drawings, essential to take the work required from conception to completion.
Project Detail
The building was primarily faced using red sandstone with a granite plinth. Once the stone had been quarried and shaped, we then worked to a strict schedule for the deliveries to come at the appropriate stages for our team to complete the installation on time.
As well as the cladding of the building, we repaired and replaced the original terracotta to the original front elevation of the building. This meant removing units and numbering the location while we made repairs and then rebuilding it piece by piece. Further restoration work included the detailing, moulding and manufacture to the two new lion statues that top the building.
